Five Years After Katrina, Still Homeless

Disaster and tragedy happen everyday! Sometimes it has to do with health problems, money problems, etc etc. Having your home and all your belongings taken away from you by mother nature, now that is something that doesn't happen everyday, but it truly is disaster, and definitely a tragedy. Trying to pick up the pieces after that, I can't begin to imagine how hard it would be. Having to move from your home town, become a burden on family, can't support your own family, seems like you've hit rock bottom, so the only place to go now, is up, but how long does that really take. Try five years; five years to get a decent start on your new beginning of life. Five years to find a home, that is actually suitable, and deserving of being called a home; five years for that, forever to lose the pain, of losing your entire life. It takes true strength to move on after something like that; going to different school, working at odd jobs, fighting with the government to do what they're supposed to, and actually help you; but like always, there's that fine line that just seems to screw everyone over accept those in control. I guess when you look at it, I'd rather lose a home, than a loved one, but when that's your only bright side, your only silver lining, it doesn't make things look very positive, now does it?

How I feel about Globalloria, before starting.

I feel that Globalloria will be a great activity for me to do, for anyone to do that is. It seems to be able to teach people a variety of things; learn about technology, and become familiar with it. Globalloria seems as if it'll be fun to do with groups; get to share and communicate with others. Learning is always easier when you learn with others. All in all it seems like a great idea!
